Responsibilities
Lead and oversee structural design and analysis using ETABS, SAP, RAM, and related tools
Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables across multidisciplinary teams
Coordinate with architects, clients, and municipal agencies to ensure seamless project execution
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers and project teams
Support business development through client relationships, proposals, and industry networking
Represent DeSimone at conferences, events, and professional forums
Qualification
Required
BS or MS in Structural/Civil Engineering
10-15 years of experience in structural design and project management for building structures
Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license preferred
Proficiency in ETABS, SAP, and RAM with strong knowledge of building codes and standards
Excellent communication, leadership, and business development skills
Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field; and twelve (12) years of industry experience in structural analysis and design of mid to high-rise buildings; or
Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field; and ten (10) years of industry experience in structural analysis and design of mid to high-rise buildings
Minimum 9 years of experience in performing and supervising the design and analysis of mid to high rise buildings
Minimum 9 years of experience utilizing software packages such as ETABS, RAM, RISA, Rhino, PCA and SAFE
Project Management experience in leading the preparation of construction document plan drawings, plans, schedules, details, and specifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Team leadership ability and excellent communication skills
Extensive knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices
Experience with concrete, structural steel, masonry, wood, and light gauge structures
Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues
Preferred
Master's Degree in Structural Engineering, or related field preferred
Structural Engineer (SE) license
