Senior Accountant
CFS is a well-established, growth-oriented company seeking a Regional Senior Accountant. This hands-on role involves overseeing accounting policies, financial reporting, and collaborating with senior leaders to enhance internal controls and accounting procedures.

Responsibilities
Oversee and improve accounting policies, procedures, and financial controls
Assist in month-end close (5-day close), including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
Manage fixed asset depreciation, rollforwards, lease amortization, and union benefits reporting
Support payroll processing and serve as a backup across accounting and payroll functions
Review and approve Accounts Payable check runs while ensuring accuracy and compliance
Calculate and prepare monthly service and construction commissions, adjusting for bad debt in real time
Perform weekly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash reporting
Lead inventory reconciliation, coordinate physical counts, and establish new inventory processes
Support external audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting requirements
Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, operations, and leadership teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
3–6 years of progressive accounting experience; CPA preferred but not required
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting/ERP systems
Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
