Responsibilities

Lead and elevate recruiting for Corporate functions and Sentara Health Plan
Shape the operational foundation of Sentara’s talent strategy
Ensure the attraction, engagement, and hiring of exceptional talent across health plan, IT, marketing, finance, clinical roles, and more
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and champion for improving hiring practices
Empower recruiters to do their best work and influence outcomes by sharing best practices
Oversee the effective attraction, screening, selection, and development of a high-performing, diverse, and sustainable talent pipeline
Drive organizational dedication, accountability, and deliver operational excellence

Required

Proven experience leading operational talent acquisition teams
Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into execution
Exceptional stakeholder partnership and communication skills
Passion for candidate experience, innovation, and inclusive hiring
Strong experience with Workday Recruiting and incorporating AI-driven recruiting workflows for high-volume recruiting optimization
Ability to lead through change and deliver results in a complex organization
Willingness to travel for onsite events and meetings as needed (primarily in Virginia Beach, VA)
Bachelor's degree (Required)
5 years of recruiting experience (Required)
3 years of management experience (Required)

Preferred

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP (Preferred)
