Responsibilities
Develop and contribute to procurement strategy thought leadership, particularly for the Canadian market
Lead and support strategic procurement engagements, including category strategy, supplier strategy, operating model design, and CoE development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape procurement transformation frameworks and narratives
Conduct market, supplier, and industry research to inform strategic recommendations
Translate procurement insights into clear, actionable strategies for senior stakeholders
Maintain a strong understanding of North American procurement trends, with emphasis on Canada and the US
Qualification
Required
5–8 years of experience in procurement strategy or strategic advisory roles
Background in Procurement Advisory or Supply Chain Advisory within major consulting firms, including the Big Four (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG), Kearney, Accenture, GEP, or similar strategy-focused environments
Strong foundation in core procurement strategy (not tech implementation, sourcing operations, or platform delivery)
Experience working within or alongside Center of Excellence (CoE) or strategic procurement functions
Demonstrated ability to produce structured, insight-driven deliverables (frameworks, models, executive-level presentations)
Blend of industry and consulting experience, with a clear non-sales orientation
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-facing skills
Preferred
Experience supporting or advising Canadian procurement organizations
Exposure to US procurement strategy engagements
Candidates based in Mexico may be considered if they bring strong strategy-first procurement experience aligned with the role
