Responsibilities
Oversee the implementation and management of food safety and quality programs
Ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standards
Managing audits
Developing and monitoring quality control processes
Collaborating with cross-functional teams
Initiating corrective actions to address food safety and quality systems
Train and guide the FSQA team effectively
Fostering a culture of quality and safety
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA) and quality assurance standards
Experience in developing and implementing quality control, food safety, and sanitation programs
Proficiency in managing audits, preparing documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance
Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills
Ability to analyze data for quality improvements and problem-solving
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred
Relevant experience in the food manufacturing industry strongly desired
Certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, or SQF Practitioner are an asset
