Engineering Aide

Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is repair or assembly of electrical components in support of production aircraft
Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics)
Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports
May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis
Consist of engineering hardware fabrication support, troubleshooting, testing and basic Laboratory operations responsibility
Some climbing on ladders may be required as well as lifting up to 25lbs
These responsibilities will include fabrication of electronic/electrical chassis' and mechanical rack fabrication using development engineering drawings
Candidate must be capable of working independently, discussing technical issues with customers and working with vendors
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience reading and understanding electrical and mechanical drawings
3+ years of experience with J-STD-001 & IPC-610 processes
3+ years of experience with surface mount technology and processes. Including hand soldering of individual components and fine pitch connectors
3+ years of experience with electronic hand tools in manufacturing processes
Ability to Assemble electrical harnesses and chassis assemblies
Preferred
An AA in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is highly preferred
