4+ years expWriting Affairs is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their installation team. This role is responsible for installing and maintaining SpectrumVoIP’s equipment at customer sites, requiring strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
Writing & Editing
Responsibilities
Interact with customers as the front line of the company
Ethernet cabling installation and termination
Installation of VoIP hardware including phones and analog gateways
Installation of paging equipment
Installation or reconfiguration of network routers, firewalls, and peripherals
Installation of door phone equipment
Installation of Camera Systems
Inventory Management Software-Manage inventory of equipment
Providing general product and service training to new customers
Follow safety guidelines for the area and all company policies and procedures
Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of company vehicle
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent. Technical training or degree
4+ years' experience as a field service technician servicing commercial segments
Must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record and no moving violations
Working with analog POTS services on 66 and 110 blocks
Must be physically able and comfortable with climbing ladders up to 12ft
Able to distinguish all colors
The ability to travel, which may include overnight / weekend travel, is required
The ability to run CAT5e cable as well as terminate to CAT5e Jack, Patch Panel or crimp a mod end and test and troubleshooting cabling
Ability to work in outdoor environments and adapt to changing work conditions
May be required to get a Security License for the installation of camera systems
Preferred
Familiarity with Mikrotik and Cisco routing/switching equipment a plus
Related certifications a plus: CCNA, N+, A+, BISCI, etc
