Concrete Field Engineer
Landmark Construction Company, Inc. is experiencing significant growth and is looking for Field Engineers to join their team. The role involves accurate layout of building locations, assisting with concrete takeoffs, and ensuring safety and compliance on construction sites.

Responsibilities
Responsible for accurate layout of building location, structures and control for project
Work closely with Superintendent and Foreman of projects to ensure layout is meaningful and understood
Assist with concrete takeoffs
Ability to use a total station for layout
Ability to read construction drawings
Ability to setup rotating laser and or site level for checking elevations
Responsible for completing checks throughout project to ensure work is installed correctly and completing as-builts as needed
Maintains field notes and documentation generated by layout
Support and comply with company Health, Safety & Environmental Program, Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace, and Harassment Free Work Environment Program
Set yourself as an example and practice workplace safety; use all personal protective equipment required for the job
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
Inspect the worksite daily to insure a safe work environment
Identify possible hazards with work tasks, tools, and work area - both above and below ground
Confirm that all underground utilities have been located each day
Report all accidents and incidents to project foreman and superintendent (regardless of how minor) as soon as possible
Responsible for accessible, clean & organized work site
Ability to work independently
Communicates and directs support crew
Assume responsibility and maintain productivity of craft employees
Document safety/maintenance problems and notify Site-Foreman / Superintendent
Actively takes initiative to train others
Share experience and knowledge with support crew
Communicate openly with project foreman, superintendent, and/or utility superintendent
Communicate well with owners, engineers, inspectors, and other external customers
Deal effectively with conflicts with crew members as well as all internal and external customers
Works independently
Requires minimal support or assistance from project foreman, superintendent, and/or utility superintendent
Prioritizes well; spends time wisely; gets things done
Attendance and punctuality is good; schedules time off in advance
Must work other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years of construction experience or combination of education and experience is preferred
Knowledge of principals, methods and standards of the designated trade's area
Experience in the use and methods of tools and equipment commonly employed with the trade
Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
Performs work in accordance with standards and specifications
Ability to use a total station for layout
Ability to read construction drawings

Work involves sitting, walking or standing for extended periods of time in various adverse weather conditions
Must be able to repeatedly lift and/or carry weights of five to fifty pounds
Requires the ability of speaking and/or signaling people to convey or exchange information
Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination
Numerical Aptitude- This position requires the ability to utilize mathematical formulas; adding and subtracting totals; multiplying and dividing
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, safety glasses, hard hat with chin strap, reflective safety vest, gloves, ear protection, face shield, safety toe boots
Ability to work independently
