Senior LevelWMC Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to oversee the full financial life cycle of construction projects. This role focuses on job cost control, forecasting, reporting accuracy, and process improvement while serving as a key financial resource for project managers and leadership.

Responsibilities
Oversee job cost accounting and financial performance for multiple construction projects
Monitor and analyze project cost variances, forecasting issues and profitability trends
Assist with subcontractor and vendor invoices, AP coding, and approvals
Maintain accurate project financial records and reporting
Support change order tracking and budget updates
Work closely with Project Managers and Operations to support forecasting
Help with project closeout reporting and documentation
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls and reporting workflows
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Understanding of job costing, WIP and construction billings
Proficient in Excel and accounting/job cost software (Sage 300, Procore, TimberScan, GC Pay experience a plus)
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and details
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must provide 3 work references
