Data Collector - School of Public Health (Casual)

UTHealth Houston is Texas’ resource for healthcare education, innovation, scientific discovery, and excellence in patient care. In this role, you will assist the Center for Health Equity faculty, students, and staff in manuscript writing, editing, submissions, and grant writing.

Responsibilities

Assist Center for Health Equity faculty, students and staff in manuscript writing, editing, submissions, response to reviewer comments and all related documentation as required by the journal. Track timelines and activities for manuscript submissions and communicate with corresponding author as required
Support CHE members in grant writing, formatting, editing as required. Track timelines and activities for grant submissions and communicate with faculty
Support CHE team members on developing and editing communication materials, including (but not limited to) developing presentations, infographics, and reports
Support CHE projects on project set up related activities as assigned by Center project management team. This may include (but not limited to) submission to IRB, finalizing of study and measurement protocols, developing tracking tools and databases
Handles administrative details (ex. time and effort reports, mileage reports)
Other duties as assigned

Required

High School diploma
Two years related experience with emphasis on public contact. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement
Trained by project manager or principal on techniques to interview, complete questionnaires, and operate equipment
May need to be bilingual
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas
