Corporate Human Resources Manager

The Carlstar Group is seeking a Corporate Human Resources Manager to manage and coordinate HR functions for the Titan specialty division. The role involves developing HR strategies, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Assists with oversight of HR function for corporate teams, and other locations as necessary
Assists in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, including collaboration with multiple leadership teams to provide strategic input on HR-related issues
Responsible for corporate talent acquisition program, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding programs, ensuring that all staffing level goals are met
Assists in change management processes including finding ways to streamline existing processes, suggesting changes as appropriate, and ensures organized follow through to assist in reinforcement
Assists with payroll as needed, ensuring timecard accuracy, legal compliance, and on-time submissions; including answering questions as needed for employees
Assists in employee relations activities, including training, conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and performance management
Fosters a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement, development, and retention. Provides counseling to front line leadership to assist in removing obstacles and barriers to success
Stays abreast of HR compliance and ensures HR programs and policies align with compliance requirements for federal, state, and local laws

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite
Unquestionable integrity, ethics, and judgment
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Provides guidance and coaching to leadership at levels on behavioral and business-related issues
Highly intelligent and analytical, possessing the intellectual curiosity to probe and understand how the dimensions within their area of responsibility work and influence the broader business
A natural leader comfortable speaking to large groups
Results-oriented approach to decision-making
Self-awareness and the natural ability to build trust and confidence with plant leadership, his or her peer group, and the executive leadership team
Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred

SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus
Experience with Paycom is a plus
