Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, with a primary focus on back-of-house excellence
Lead kitchen operations, including menu execution, food quality, consistency, and efficiency
Actively work in the kitchen as needed, setting the standard for execution and discipline
Hire, train, and manage kitchen and front-of-house staff
Manage food costs, labor, inventory, and vendor relationships
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
Collaborate on menu development, seasonal offerings, and continuous improvement
Drive profitability through strong operational controls and hands-on leadership
Represent the restaurant within the Durango community with professionalism and pride

Required

5+ years of professional culinary experience, preferably in a leadership role (Chef, Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or similar)

Strong understanding of restaurant P&Ls, food costing, and labor management
Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy, similar to a sole proprietor mindset
Hands-on, detail-oriented, and highly accountable
Passion for food, hospitality, and building a strong team culture
