Senior Microsoft Power Platform Specialist – Governance & Enterprise Controls
GUDDGE, LLC is seeking a Senior Microsoft Power Platform Specialist with deep expertise in governance strategy and enterprise-scale controls. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating a robust governance framework that ensures security, compliance, scalability, and operational excellence across the enterprise.

Responsibilities
Define and implement an enterprise-wide Power Platform governance strategy aligned with organizational security, compliance, and IT standards
Establish clear operating models for citizen developers, pro developers, and IT-managed solutions
Design environment strategy (Default, Dev, Test, UAT, Prod, Sandbox, CoE) including lifecycle management and access controls
Define policies for application ownership, support, ALM, and decommissioning
Configure and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across environments and connectors
Implement tenant-level and environment-level controls to prevent sprawl and misuse
Govern use of custom connectors, premium connectors, and external data sources
Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., internal audit, data residency)
Design, deploy, and manage the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE)
Define standards, templates, and best practices for Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Copilot Studio
Drive adoption with control by enabling self-service while maintaining oversight
Establish metrics and dashboards for usage, risk, performance, and value realization
Define and enforce ALM standards using Azure DevOps/GitHub, pipelines, and solution packaging
Implement CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform solutions
Integrate Power Platform with Azure services, Dataverse, and enterprise systems
Provide guidance on performance optimization and scalability
Partner with Security, Architecture, Compliance, and Business teams to align governance
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on Power Platform risks, opportunities, and roadmap
Mentor junior admins and guide development teams on governance best practices
Create governance documentation, playbooks, and training materials
Qualification
Required
10+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years hands-on with Microsoft Power Platform
Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale Power Platform governance
Strong expertise in Fabric
Strong expertise in Power BI
Strong expertise in Power Apps (Canvas, Model-driven)
Strong expertise in Power Automate
Strong expertise in Power Pages
Deep knowledge of Power Platform DLP policies
Deep knowledge of environment strategy and tenant administration
Deep knowledge of security roles, permissions, and licensing models
Demonstrated ability to define guardrails, policies, and operating models for large organizations
Experience setting up and managing Power Platform CoE (Starter Kit or custom)
Strong understanding of enterprise ALM, DevOps, and CI/CD practices
Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID, RBAC, and identity governance
Governance-first mindset with strong risk awareness
Ability to balance enablement vs control
Strong stakeholder communication and influence skills
Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution
Experience working with global or distributed teams
