Design and implement décor concepts for a wide range of campus events, including major celebrations such as Christmas events and other large-scale programs
Determine appropriate campus and venue décor, including tablescapes, centerpieces, floral arrangements, and overall ambiance
Create custom centerpieces and décor elements tailored to each event
Execute floral design for both small and large installations; strong floral design skills are essential
Source décor items, floral materials, and design elements while maintaining quality and budget awareness
Install and oversee décor setup and teardown, ensuring designs are executed accurately and safely
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics related to décor installation and event setup
Work closely with the Events team, receiving input from event owners and stakeholders to align designs with event goals
Make final design decisions when needed and confidently implement approved concepts
Qualification
Required
Strong eye for design
Advanced floral skills
Ability to manage décor logistics from concept through execution
Experience in designing and implementing décor concepts for campus events
Ability to determine appropriate campus and venue décor
Experience in creating custom centerpieces and décor elements
Experience in executing floral design for both small and large installations
Ability to source décor items, floral materials, and design elements while maintaining quality and budget awareness
Experience in installing and overseeing décor setup and teardown
Ability to collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics related to décor installation and event setup
Ability to work closely with the Events team and align designs with event goals
Ability to make final design decisions and implement approved concepts
Born-again Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Agreement with and affirmation of the Bob Jones University creed, mission, and core biblical doctrines
Commitment to maintaining a conservative lifestyle and supporting the group's positions on various issues
Active member of a local Bible-believing church with orthodox theology
High school graduate or GED
3-4 years related experience
