Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives
Provide advice on tax-efficient strategies for wealth transfer, including gift tax, estate tax, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning
Advise beneficiaries and trustees on the administration of trusts, including preparing trust accountings, ensuring compliance with trust terms, managing trust assets, and related income and transfer tax issues
Guide clients through the probate process, including filing necessary documents with the court, managing estate assets, and distributing assets to beneficiaries
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering ongoing legal advice and support tailored to their specific needs
Qualification
Required
License to practice law in California with no record of discipline
3-6 years' of experience in Trusts and Estates in California
Willingness to take on increasing responsibility, possess excellent writing and communication skills, as well as technical expertise
Superior analytical, communication, drafting, writing, research skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Enthusiastic, collaborative, and thoughtful
Preferred
Candidates with knowledge and experience in (or an interest and willingness to learn) one or more of the following will pique our interest: Related business and real property issues, Estate planning, Tax Expertise
Ties to or an interest in living in Sonoma County are preferred
