Compensation Analyst
Richland County Government is seeking a Compensation Analyst to administer the County’s compensation structures and perform compensation analysis. This role is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, documentation, and consistent application of compensation policy while supporting pay decisions and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
Prepare compensation analyses for hiring, promotions, and position changes
Review and validate proposed salary offers
Review, update, and maintain job descriptions to ensure alignment with classification standards, compensation structures, and regulatory requirements
Administer job classifications, pay grades, and salary ranges
Support market pricing and salary survey analysis
Perform internal equity and job evaluation studies
Maintain compensation policies and documentation
Partner with HRIS staff to resolve compensation configuration issues and validate system outputs
Support audits and compliance reviews related to compensation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Four (4) years of direct experience in compensation analysis, job evaluation, and salary administration
Working knowledge of FLSA and pay equity requirements
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions
Preferred
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
Public-sector compensation experience
Hands-on experience with Workday Compensation/HCM
