Responsibilities
Manage client engagements from planning through completion, ensuring projects remain within budget
Supervise, train, and mentor senior associates, associates, and interns
Conduct primary reviews of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements
Review tax returns prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy and identifying tax-saving opportunities
Research and consult on complex tax matters using industry-leading tax software
Respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other relevant tax authorities
Maintain strong relationships with client management to understand business objectives and operations
Identify opportunities to provide additional services to existing and potential clients
Adhere to the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Active CPA license or JD/Active Law License is required
4–7 years of progressive experience in tax compliance and/or tax consulting
Strong proficiency in ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes) and US GAAP
Deep understanding of corporate income tax laws, regulations, and statutory income tax compliance
Proficiency in tax-related software for preparing and processing returns
Proven ability to run tax projects from inception to completion
Experience in tax provision preparation and audit support for large, multi-state or global companies
Ability to conduct technical research on various domestic and international tax matters
Knowledge of state and local income taxes, international activity taxation, and transfer pricing
Strong ability to mentor staff and assess performance during engagement reviews
Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills
High level of attention to detail and complex problem-solving abilities
Dedicated to maintaining high-quality client relationships and service delivery
Preferred
Professional experience within a Top 15 public accounting firm
Experience using OneSource Tax Provision software
