PROGRAM SUPPORT ASSISTANT
USAJOBS is seeking a Program Support Assistant at Scott AFB. The primary purpose of this position is to function as the primary administrative assistant ensuring assigned personnel are qualified and ready to meet Air Expeditionary Force requirements by managing the squadron's unit deployment readiness and providing other administrative support tasks.

Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and oversees all unit level deployment activities
Serves as the functional point of contact for day-to-day budget/financial issues
Performs administrative work in support of the office/organization
Directly assists the commander in the management of all administrative support program functions

Must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance level
This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
Incumbent may be required to work other than normal duty hours to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Emergency overtime may be required
Incumbent will be required to complete mandatory UDM training to include IDS/LOGMOD training, AEF Reporting Tool (ART), Status of Resources and Training (SORTS), and Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) training
Additionally the employee would be required to complete Government Purchase Card (GPC) training, Government Travel Card (GTC) training, and Defense Travel System (DST) training
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems
Knowledge of an extensive body of policies and procedures governing the overall unit administrative and orderly room operations to include routing of correspondence; advising others on preparing correspondence, requirements for various reports, and interpreting new instructions and procedures
Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and precedents affecting deployment operations and the administrative processes and documentation requirements to ensure deployment readiness
Knowledge of various office automation software processing procedures and function keys to produce a wide range of documents and to update and revise existing databases or spreadsheets
Skill to prepare reports, and organize and give briefings to managers regarding deployment operations
Skill in preparing written forms, schedules, and reports related to the obligation and expenditures of funds by applying applicable procedures and guidelines
Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization
Knowledge of a wide range of federal and agency deployment/mobilization concepts, principles, practices, procedures, regulations, and laws
Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs
Skill in preparing written forms, schedules, and reports related to the obligation and expenditures of funds by applying applicable procedures and guidelines
Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy
Ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines of management programs and functions of an organization
