Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision of Center staff engaged in the provision of employment services, job training, limited unemployment insurance services, and labor market information services to customers seeking work and employers seeking work in Cabarrus County
Interact closely with workforce partners in an Integrated Services Delivery (ISD) environment to ensure the appropriate delivery of services to all customers
Responsible for budgeting staff, training new employees, and reviewing the work of staff
Travel as requested based on business needs and participate in an employer outreach program
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in public or private employment service-related work including experience in a lead, coaching, or mentoring capacity
Associate degree and four years of experience in public or private employment service-related work including experience in a lead, coaching, or mentoring capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Thorough knowledge of the Division of Workforce Solutions and its functions
Ability to apply the provisions of federal, state and agency law, rules, regulations, and procedures to specific program areas
Demonstrated ability to supervise, train and function as a resource for lower-level staff
Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate information
Ability to communicate orally and in written form effectively with a variety of individuals both internal and external to the organization
