Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and repair high voltage electrical distribution system including generators, lines, transformers, switch gear, fuses, breakers, and other equipment
Operate, maintain, and repair secondary electrical systems involving park building, housing, and utility systems
High Voltage and Electric Generator Systems: Install, test and repair high voltage generators, transformers, converters, shunt reactors, regulators, switches circuit breakers, control systems, lightning arrestors, junction boxes, surge protection devices, fuses and switching gear associated with primary and secondary power distribution
Electrical: Installs, modifies, maintains and repairs new and existing electrical lines, circuits, controls, fixtures and equipment for residential, office, shop, HVAC and water/wastewater treatment systems

You may be required to complete training and operate a four-wheel drive vehicle
You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required. You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you
Applicants must be at least (1)18 years old or (2) at least 16 years old and: (a) Have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or (b) Have completed a formal vocational training program; or (c) Have received a statement from school authorities agreeing with their preference for employment rather than continuing their education; or (d) Be currently enrolled in a secondary school and either work only during school vacation periods or work part-time during the school year under a formal student employment program
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: 1. Ability To Do The Work OF The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) 2. Ability To Use and Maintain Hand Tools (Electrical Work) 3. Ability to Use Electrical Drawings 4. Knowledge of Electrical Equipment 5. Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) 6. Theory and Instruments (Electrical, Electronic) Used in Shop and Trade Practices 7. Trouble shooting (electrical)
If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. To be found minimally qualified your resume must show: I am able to do the work of a High Voltage Electrician under close supervision by demonstrating AT LEAST ONE of the following duties: 1) Operate, maintain, and repair high voltage primary electrical distribution system consisting of 15 KVA lines, transformers, switch gear, fuses, breakers, and other related equipment. 2) Operate on commercial electrical systems. 3) Operate on residential electrical systems. 4) Conduct Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and masonry repairs to buildings, houses, and other park facilities
