Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive credit research—dig deep into financials, industry trends, and competitive positioning
Provide timely and well-supported buy/sell/hold recommendations directly to Portfolio Managers, factoring in portfolio exposure, duration, and relative value
Maintain on-going dialogue with Portfolio Managers to align credit insights with investment strategy in a collaborative team environment
Evaluate existing and prospective bond holdings to identify opportunities that enhance portfolio returns while delivering investment income
Prepare clear, compelling analyses on issuers, sectors, and market events
Build relationships with rating agencies, analysts, and corporate management teams to stay ahead of market trends
Represent the team at industry and company conferences and engage with management teams as part of ongoing due diligence process
Qualification
Required
7+ years work experience
Experience: 3+ years in credit research or a related field
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Investments, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics
Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling expertise, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred
Technology sector experience
CFA designation or candidacy
Experience leveraging technology in credit research
