Responsibilities

Work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and exercise good judgement
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in mathematics, Engineering, or an equivalent Physical Science
Seven years of experience with HFPB numerical modeling for prediction of blast environments and for simulation of structural response to blast loads and other extreme dynamic loading events. The experience must include simulations using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
Seven years of experience using first principles, engineering theory, and test data to verify and validate models developed with HFPB numerical tools. Applicable experience shall demonstrate the capability to build confidence in analysis solutions and to communicate accuracy of models with substantiating evidence
Seven years of experience using HFPB software tool. These software tools can include, but are not limited to ALE3D, CTH, SHAMRC, FEFLO, EPIC, Autodyn, or other equivalent codes
Secret level clearance
Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication, both verbally and written
Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, management, and customers
Requires ability to travel domestically (within the U.S.)
Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a workstation / desk
Ability to lift >15 lbs
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgement
