Aerospace Manufacturing Planner / Engineer

They are seeking an experienced Planner to manage customer work orders, create manufacturing plans, and ensure compliance with quality standards while driving efficiency and cost control.

Responsibilities

Create planning packages for all new manufactured parts
Write detailed work instructions for every step of the manufacturing process
Interpret complicated aerospace drawings and specifications
Generate inspection plans for all manufacturing steps
Work collaboratively with manufacturing regarding part design and tooling required to ensure efficient production methods
Assist with cost estimates for new parts by estimating CNC machining cycles
Review blueprints, specifications, and customer purchase orders to ensure compliance
Drive continuous improvement with process improvement projects

Required

7-10 years aerospace machining experience
Experience with Haas mill, lathe, and 5-axis CNCs
Proficient in taking complex aerospace models and converting into logical work orders
Experience with the complete cycle of aerospace manufacturing production, including machining, outside processing (heat treat, passivation, anodize, grinding, etc.), inspection, cleaning, shipping, etc
High proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&T standards
CAD experience with SolidWorks required
Proficiency in MS Office; ERP/MRP experience
Familiarity with AS9100 and aerospace manufacturing quality standards
Knowledge of common inspection methods and tools required
Process-oriented mindset with the ability to develop and follow standardized procedures
Must be an organized self-starter and adept at managing priorities
Able to work collaboratively across the organization and independently with minimal oversight
Aerospace Machining: 5 years (Required)
Ability to Commute: Sun Valley, CA 91352 (Required)
Work Location: In person

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is a plus, but not required
