Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable, payroll, and daily financial transactions
Record contributions, sponsorships, and other earned and contributed revenue
Reconcile cash, prepaid expenses, and balance sheet accounts
Prepare journal entries and close the books on a monthly basis
Produce regular financial and operational reports (sales, donations, cash flow forecasts, budget-to-actuals, etc.)
Conduct financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and planning
Partner with the Administrative team on annual budgeting and financial strategy
Prepare documentation and reports for auditors, tax professionals, and board members
Prepares taxes for the organization
Support staff by answering financial questions clearly and promptly
Maintain and improve accounting procedures, policies, and internal controls
Identify cost-saving opportunities and support contract negotiations
Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Center for the Performing Arts accounting team and Finance Committee leadership
Complete other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data
Preferred
Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
Experience with Bill.com and/or Tessitura a plus
