Responsibilities
Receives and relays incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the facility
Provides directory information, transfers calls as appropriate
Makes general and emergency announcements over the facility’s PA system
Monitors alarm panels, notifies appropriate Trauma personnel
Assists patients and employees with outgoing calls
Communicates with civil authorities and management during emergencies
Qualification
Required
Requires a calm attitude, behavior, interpersonal skill, and problem solving that enable an employee to respond to internal and external customer needs and expectations in a positive manner
High school graduate
Clear and concise speaking voice
Oral and written communication, customer service and interpersonal skills required
Preferred
One to two years' experience with SPOK Medi-call and Communicator NXT preferred
One to three year's experience as a PBX operator in a Hospital setting
