Farmers Insurance Sales Rep

The Hartley Agency - Farmers® Insurance is seeking driven individuals ready to start their careers as Protégé Producers. This role involves making outbound calls, conducting sales meetings, and building long-term client relationships while working towards future agency ownership.

Responsibilities

Make consistent outbound phone calls to prospects and leads, using a consultative, confidence-driven approach
Conduct telesales appointments and virtual meetings to quote, present, and close new business
Overcome objections effectively by educating clients, building trust, and clearly communicating value
Service existing clients by reviewing policies, identifying coverage gaps, and strengthening long-term relationships
Sell life insurance proactively, integrating it naturally into client conversations and protection planning
Generate new business through networking, referrals, and relationship-building
Develop and expand Centers of Influence (COIs) including realtors, lenders, business owners, and community partners
Participate in marketing and outreach efforts, including local events, campaigns, and referral initiatives
Manage your pipeline and follow-up activity with discipline and accountability
Continuously improve skills in sales, communication, product knowledge, and time management
Attend all training meetings held by the District

Required

Active Property & Casualty insurance license (required)
Active Life & Health insurance license (required)
Candidates not currently licensed must be able to obtain all required licenses quickly
No recent bankruptcies
No felonies or misdemeanors
No outstanding judgments or tax liens
Strong self-motivation and personal accountability
Ability to work independently while following a structured growth plan
Comfortable with phone-based sales, virtual meetings, and follow-up activity
Willingness to participate in marketing, networking, and community engagement
Coachable mindset with a desire for continuous improvement
Professional communication skills and a high level of integrity
