Responsibilities

Achieve or surpass annual U.S. origination P&L targets, with a focus on Power Origination goals
Develop and execute profitable or cost-saving power transactions to optimize TGPNA's asset portfolio and generate measurable value (PnL)
Structure and implement third-party origination and marketing deals within TGPNA's limits and trading policies
Collaborate and provide strategic support to TGPNA traders and other departments
Assist TotalEnergies affiliates by delivering products and services that align with their objectives
Enhance team expertise through internal training and external recruiting initiatives
Ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct Compliance manual, as well as all company and group policies and procedures
Develop a deep understanding of TGPNA and affiliate businesses, including: Asset portfolios, contractual arrangements, and product flows; Key counterparties, markets, and market dynamics; Positions, risk management, and optimization strategies; Company strategies for business development, growth, and new energies
Develop and maintain relationships with key participants in relevant markets, including: Downstream end-users power (Utilities, Coops, Muni's,REP's, industrial and commercial); Power and Renewables (developers, IPPs, utilities and load serving entities)
Work closely with TGPNA trade desks to: Identify risks and opportunities in the portfolio; Optimize the portfolio to add value and/or decrease costs; Structure and execute short and long term transactions that mitigate risk, add flexibility, and create value
Evaluate & assist in originating new power, environmental product, or related energy commodity transactions
Work closely with affiliate businesses and third parties to: Perform services under current and/or future services agreements; Help monitor monthly scheduling, operations, and settlement activity; Assist budgeting and planning activities including monthly estimates, annual budgets, and LTP; Evaluate and pursue new opportunities
Lead, develop, and execute the U.S. Gas, Renewables, and Power strategy with a focus on core power products and services
Drive profit-focused, front-office initiatives that align with the risk objectives of the Trading organization
Manage trading origination across off-exchange, customer-oriented, short- and long-term, physical and financial deals, structured products, B2B supply, and environmental products
Cultivate multi-product expertise, facilitating transactions within the Delegation of Authority and supporting trading desks, affiliates, and third-party counterparts
Assess market dynamics, generate and structure origination opportunities, and negotiate purchase/sale contracts
Coordinate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimize strategic engagements
Represent the organization to the market in a manner aligned with the Company's core principles

Required

Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, business administration, or equivalent
Minimum of 7 years' experience, with at least 5 years previous experience working in an origination or business development role or a commercial function in an energy commodity environment
Experience in origination, trading, marketing, operations, and risk management of wholesale electricity
Knowledge of the US electricity market with a focus on PJM. Experience with MISO, NYISO and NEPOOL a plus
Strong Sales Skills and demonstrated previous experience to develop and grow relationships with Power market counterparties
Ability to work under pressure
Creative and highly proactive, with capacity to work and deliver results independently
High level of analytical and organizational skills
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI
Excellent oral and writing communication and presentation skills

Preferred

Proficiency in Spanish or French is a plus
