Access Team Specialist - Full-Time Days Boise

Excellent customer service skills required to interact with patients, physicians and staff to maintain and promote positive relationships
Demonstrates ability to efficiently organize work and maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity
Work as part of a team with demonstrated listening skills, independent problem solving, decision-making skills, the ability to use critical thinking skills, and participate in effective group decision-making
Computer skills including Outlook, MS Office products and Practice Management software
Well-developed English verbal and written communication skills to portray a professional customer image
Ability to learn and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare community, including all specialties and all providers
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as part of a team working with others to solve problems, improve workflow, assure back up, and achieve an enjoyable work atmosphere
Independently schedules appointments in the electronic health record using variable templates and per provider preferences
Collects and validates patient demographic information including insurance type and patient contact information maintaining confidentiality of all patients’ health and financial information according to HIPAA standards
Collaborates with designated clinic contacts to facilitate unusual appointments or new patient requests
Handles multiple telephone lines, politely and effectively

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Preferred

Previous experience in hospital, medical or insurance office setting preferred
Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred
Working knowledge of medical terminology and the healthcare system (insurances, Medicare, Medicaid, physician office operations) preferred
