Responsibilities
Assist with the management of operation historical data
Configure and administer Microsoft applications including SQL Server, Internet Information Server, SMS Manager, Exchange Server, Oracle8i, Microsoft Active Directory, and Portal Server
Maintain network hardware to support plant operations
Provide training as required to operations personal utilizing CEMS and plant wide SCADA equipment
Assist with the Management of plant performance monitoring, control system software, and logic
Process Management-Assist with the development and management of existing plant system/subsystem automation
Program Development-Assist with application development to support special purpose programs, Web applications in use at Apache Station, and programs that may be needed in the future
Project Management-Participate on new process control installations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field
1 -3 years of experience in power plant operations, fuel combustion efficiencies, and emissions monitoring
Working knowledge of P.C. computer systems including Linux and Microsoft operating systems
Demonstrate a basic knowledge of programming languages including dBase, Visual Basic, Transact SQL, HTML, C++, JAVA, ASP.NET, C#, and the DotNet application framework
Understanding of performance monitoring programs
Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and programming discipline including Allen Bradley, GE, Modicon, and Siemens
Working knowledge of HMI interface development and programming techniques, including GE's iFix product line, Wonderware, and Ovation HMI products
Any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience can be substituted for requirements listed above
