Operations Specialist

San Pasqual Fiduciary Trust Company is the only California and Nevada-based trust company dedicated to providing trustee-only services. They are seeking an Operations Specialist to join their Trust Operations Team, where the role involves assisting with the administration of various trust accounts and performing accounts payable duties.

Responsibilities

Perform accounts payable duties, including setting up check and electronic payments
Process a high volume of invoices with accuracy, ensuring proper approvals, coding, and compliance with internal controls
Accurately record check deposits to the appropriate trust accounts
Maintain complete and well-organized electronic and physical AP files
Serve as a primary in-office support resource for remote team members
Provide support to trust administration professionals
Other duties as required

Required

No prior knowledge of trust operations is required
A professional demeanor with interpersonal communication skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Has a problem-solving mentality, can think on their feet and change course quickly and calmly
Someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, wanting to be directly involved in the day-to-day administration for our clients and embraces the phrase 'other duties as required'
A good communicator, willing and able to take the initiative to pick up the phone to resolve concerns or issues
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Excellent organizational skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Capacity to follow complex instructions
Exceptional attention to detail in all facets of the job
The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multi-task
Ability to ask for/take feedback on work and apply changes as necessary

Preferred

Bachelor's degree (Emphasis in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Math preferred)
One year of work experience (may be any industry, but preferably in an office setting)
Familiar with Adobe Acrobat
