New GradIowa Western Community College is currently seeking a Student Outreach & Support Office Assistant to join their student-focused team at the SW Iowa Campus in Council Bluffs. This role involves providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, assisting with general inquiries, and offering administrative support to the Student Life department.

Experience in customer-related and customer service-related field with the demonstrated ability to react to customers quickly, accurately, and congenially required
Experience that demonstrates sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disabled backgrounds of community college students
Experience or training that demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong computer skills, and strong organizational skills
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Outreach & Support
Qualification
Required

High School diploma or GED required; Currently an IWCC student
Must be a current IWCC student with a minimum GPA of 2.0
Must be able to work effectively with a team
Must be able to work independently without direct supervision on a day-to-day basis
Students may not work more than 25 hours/week during the academic semester
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Outreach & Support
