Responsibilities
Maintain positive guest relations at all times and resolve all guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
Maintain general knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, wines, beer brands, and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet
Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set-ups, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range, and dress code of assigned outlet
Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minor, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving
Complete opening and closing side duties
Greet guests and inform of any wait times, while monitoring any wait list to seat guests as quickly as possible
Seat guests and provide menus, using the guest information in the Reservation System to personalize their stay while introducing the guest to their server
Enter and confirm guest information into the Reservation System, noting all preferences and dietary restrictions
Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact
Answer incoming calls and emails to the outlet, providing the appropriate service in accordance with hotel standards
Manage the flow of guests into the Dining and Bar areas and maintain ambiance in the outlet in accordance with hotel standards
Assist outlet staff with food running, table bussing, or other duties as required during busy periods
Be observant to guests’ needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service
Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
Maintain a professional and personable appearance at all times, according to hotel standards
Successfully achieve the hotel’s core competencies including work product, teamwork and culture, guest and customer service, work ethic, and impact-oriented problem solver
