Tech Control Room Technician II

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy. The Electronic Technician II role focuses on supporting the network operations center, working on various electronic equipment through monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Serve as the focal point for monitoring our communications infrastructure utilizing monitoring and remote management tools such as Solar Winds
Apply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and test equipment
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and effect repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition
Respond to user requests and outage notifications; communicate and coordinate with other functional groups to address and resolve service problems
Assist and/or provide occasional work direction to lower-level technicians
Perform other job-related duties, as required

Required

Education and/or training from an accredited college or technical school with courses in math, basic electronics, and microwave theory, or a military equivalent
A minimum of three years of hands-on experience
CompTIA Security+ certification must be able to obtain with six months of hire
Comprehensive knowledge in general electronics and device configuration using vendor documentation
Demonstrated expertise in electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems and the test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment
Knowledge of Cisco and Juniper network equipment configuration
Knowledge with VOIP devices and Avaya Phone Systems
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, towers, and scaffolds
