Johns Hopkins Pathology is recruiting for their advanced surgical pathology fellowship, which provides trainees the opportunity to independently sign out cases in a supportive environment. The fellowship combines clinical experience in Surgical Pathology with responsibilities including independent case sign-out, intraoperative evaluation, and resident instruction.

Responsibilities

Independent sign-out of surgical pathology cases (in-house and confirming consult)
Intraoperative frozen section evaluation
Resident instruction
Oversight of the grossing area
Participation in clinical conferences
Access to a broad menu of immune-stains, in-situ hybridization, and molecular assays
4 months of unstructured elective time which may be used for participation in subspecialty consultation service sign-outs, research, or other professional development activities as well as job interviews and vacation

Any interested candidate who will be board-eligible in AP or AP/CP by July 1 is encouraged to apply
There may be opportunities for international pathology trainees who have completed pathology residencies and have ECFMG certification if they are citizens of the United States, non-citizen nationals or have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence
