Head of Business Development - Premium Cultural Travel

Keller Executive Search is representing a distinguished premium cultural travel company with nearly 40 years of heritage in creating exceptional tours. They are seeking a Head of Business Development to spearhead their U.S. expansion, establish strategic partnerships, and drive customer acquisition across North America.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the U.S. GTM strategy aligned with global commercial goals
Identify priority institutions and segments, shaping the company's positioning in North America
Build comprehensive business plans for revenue targets, regional growth, and partnership models
Cultivate relationships with leading cultural, academic, and artistic institutions
Secure strategic partnerships for co-branded tours, private groups, donor travel, and bespoke projects
Represent the company at key cultural events, industry conferences, and relevant networks
Act as senior ambassador to high-net-worth clients, trustees, patrons, alumni groups, and cultural leaders
Develop a regional book of business through direct outreach, referrals, and relationship-building
Collaborate with the UK team to tailor programs and proposals for U.S. partners
Operate independently in a remote environment, setting priorities and driving outcomes
Bring creativity and initiative to shaping new products, collaborations, and channels
Analyze market trends and competitive developments to inform innovation

Required

Experience in business development or sales, preferably in the cultural or travel sectors
Proven track record of establishing and managing strategic partnerships

Ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage high-net-worth clients and cultural leaders
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and drive results in a remote environment
Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and inform business decisions
Creative thinking and initiative in developing new products and collaborations

Preferred

Experience working with academic institutions, museums, or cultural organizations
Familiarity with the premium travel market and high-net-worth clientele
Existing network of contacts within the cultural and academic sectors
Experience in a senior leadership role within a commercial context
