Responsibilities
Maintain fleet in a suitable and safe condition per DOT regulations and company satisfaction
Perform PM inspections and service at regular intervals
Diagnose and repair all types of diesel, gas, and electric equipment, as well as their mechanical, electrical, air, and fluid power systems
Perform cutting, welding, and fabrication as needed
Make field repairs on trucks and equipment when required
Record and maintain service records
Any and all other tasks requested by management
Qualification
Required
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to openly and effectively communicate with supervisors and drivers to ensure proper repairs to vehicles
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have your own tools
Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment to test and troubleshoot proper operation before and after repairs
Experience with gas/diesel engines and powertrains, hydraulics, electrical, heavy duty suspension and air brake systems
Must have good attendance and reliable transportation
Ability to lift 50lbs
Capable of working while standing, sitting, crouching, or kneeling for extended periods of time
Preferred
Experience with heavy truck tire mount/dismount and patching, or willingness to learn
Welding skills or willingness to learn
Experience with refrigeration both on-vehicle and trailer-mounted
CDL license is a plus!
