They are seeking a Lab Analyst I to join their bioanalytical team in the Greater Kansas City area, responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses, supporting sample preparation, and maintaining data integrity in a bioanalytical laboratory setting.
Responsibilities
Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses in accordance with established protocols and procedures
Record test results accurately in both paper and electronic notebooks, ensuring data integrity and compliance with quality standards
Utilize various sample preparation techniques for liquid chromatography - mass spectrometry (LC-MS)
Learn operation, analysis, and maintenance of LC-MS/MS systems
Support sample preparation using lab automation systems (e.g. KingFisher, Hamilton, Integra)
Help analyze data and troubleshoot experiments with your team
Keep the lab organized, instruments calibrated, and quality standards top of mind
Supporting quality control activities by participating in the review and verification of test results and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field
0-2 years of experience in a laboratory environment (e.g. from an academic lab, internship, research project, clinical research, or related industry environment)
Excellent attention to detail, and willingness to learn analytical chemistry and LC-MS/MS workflows
Basic laboratory techniques and equipment operation, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
Strong communication, teamwork, and logical problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to achieving team objectives and deadlines
