Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize scalable, high-performance data pipelines and data models
Ensure data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes are efficient, secure, and compliant with governance standards
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines, ensuring high data quality and availability
Implement best practices for data development, testing, and deployment
Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand data needs and translate requirements into effective solutions
Provide technical guidance and support to ensure data solutions align with organizational goals
Implement and uphold data governance policies, including data security, privacy, and quality standards
Continuously monitor data pipelines and processes to maintain high standards of data integrity
Stay current with emerging data technologies and frameworks
Recommend and incorporate new tools and techniques to improve data infrastructure and workflows
Manage your own workload to deliver projects on time and with high quality
Contribute to planning, design, and implementation of complex data solutions

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related roles
Proficiency with big data tools and platforms (Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, Scala, or Java
Experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect
Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred

Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Cloud Data Engineer, etc.)
Experience working with data lakes and data warehouses (Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
Familiarity with DevOps practices in data engineering (CI/CD, source control)
