Customer Service Clerk - Parks and Recreation Department (Part-time)

The City of Phoenix is dedicated to providing extensive parks and recreational services to its residents and visitors. They are seeking a Customer Service Clerk to assist in warehouse operations and inventory management, while also providing customer service and support within the Parks and Recreation Department.

Government

Responsibilities

Sort, organize, and store inventory in designated locations
Pick order requests from staff
File documents and write reports
Communicate with internal and external customers
Perform general clean-up and maintenance of the warehouse and other assigned locations
Restock shelves and perform stock rotation
Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks
Maintain inventory records
Support the irrigation team as needed
Identify and report damaged or missing items
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free
Dispose of packaging materials and waste safely

Required

One year of experience in meeting the public and performing varied office and clerical tasks, supplemented by courses in bookkeeping, and demonstrated typing skills
All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position
Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage

Preferred

Experience in warehouse inventory
Experience using a purchase software system such as SAP
Experience with arithmetical calculation
Experience with research to determine or verify information
Experience creating and updating records/information correctly
Experience sorting, separating and arranging materials
