Help Desk Specialist
DKW Communications, Inc. is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies. They are seeking a Help Desk Support Specialist to provide support for government customers by resolving hardware, software, and network problems.

Responsibilities
Technical Support: Answer and resolve user issues with computers, printers, software (OS, Office, etc.), network connectivity, and basic server/access problems
Ticket Management: Log, track, prioritize, and update help desk tickets from intake to resolution
Troubleshooting: Diagnose technical issues with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Windows Operating systems, and other miscellaneous user applications
Using diagnostic tools and remote access software
User Guidance: Walk users step-by-step through solutions in an easy-to-understand manner
Account Management: Perform tasks like password resets, user account creation, and access adjustments
Escalation: Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Tier 2/3 support or specialized teams
Hardware/Software Support: Assist with installations, updates, and basic maintenance of hardware and software
Qualification
Required
MUST be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Secret security clearance
Prior experience as Help Desk/IT Support configuring, and troubleshooting PC Windows environments, and Network Printers
Candidate should possess strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, common software, hardware, networking basics, and remote support tools
Excellent verbal/written communication, patience, customer service, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
Must meet DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) certification requirements. This typically includes one or more of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+
Preferred
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Prior experience as a Help Desk/IT Support in a government or DoD environment is desirable
Some knowledge of networking protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
