They are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to manage all accounting functions related to construction projects, including billing, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of project billing, including gathering supporting documentation and producing accurate invoices
Reconcile project billings monthly and communicate with project managers to ensure accuracy
Process vendor invoices, including coding and routing for approval
Reconcile vendor billing and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Maintain accurate records and documentation to support timely payments and financial audits
Ensure subcontractor pay applications are completed and processed correctly
Monitor vendor compliance with insurance, lien waivers, and tax documentation
Input and maintain financial data in accounting software systems
Assist in subcontract management, including drafting and issuing agreements
Support payroll and accounts receivable functions as needed
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and resolve issues professionally
Prepare and analyze financial information to support decision-making
Participate in other accounting and administrative projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Prior experience in construction accounting or project accounting required
Familiarity with AIA payment applications and enterprise accounting software
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Positive attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn and support others
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
