Responsibilities
Increase sales within the area of responsibility measured against preset goals
Develops and maintains relationships with retail buyers and/or distribution partners
Acts as a Product Specialist for sales, training and support of our retail sales personnel. Some training may be necessary across the aisle for the PIP industrial sales team and/or their customers
Business development of new distribution partners and collaborative selling at key end users
Develop individual objectives for customer contact for inside sales staff
Accountable for growth of all Puma Safety product portfolio within region
Responsible for driving profitable growth for the accounts within his region
Conduct training sessions for distributors/customers in assigned region
Responsible for the development of and delivery of presentations
Responsible to personally represent the Company at accounts designated as house accounts
Manage the relationship at the field level in accounts designated as national accounts
Responsible for the collection of market intelligence, customer reaction to programs, product field test results, and competitive information
Digital/Virtual skills a must
Extensive travel (40-50 hotel stays) per year
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in related field or a combination of education and experience
3-5 years' experience in either Safety Footwear Sales or Footwear Sales with experience calling on Safety/Industrial retailers or distributors
Live within or near assigned region
Ability to lift and carry 2-3 50-pound wheeled sample bags on a regular basis (demonstration samples)
Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or employees via phone and in person
Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move from one office location to another
