RF Systems Engineer
Viasat is a company on a mission to deliver connections that change the world. They are seeking an RF Systems Engineer to develop advanced RF products for the Government organization, supporting programs from product definition through system verification across multiple domains.

Responsibilities
Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams during integration and test at the terminal assembly level
Apply antenna system engineering fundamentals such as EIRP, G/T, sidelobes, linearity, NF, Gain, and VSWR
Develop RF products across multiple domains (land, air, sea, space)
Follow Viasat SE practices: Define and maintain requirement traceability across system elements; Participate in technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and ensure design baselines are established; Support risk and opportunity management throughout the system lifecycle
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
5+ years of proven experience with RF systems, including a minimum of 3 years performing systems engineering tasks
Experience advising/mentoring junior engineers
Strong customer interface skills with excellent oral and written communication
Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a TS/SCI DoD security clearance
Preferred
Experience with phased arrays and antennas
RF systems with high-speed data converters (ADCs/DACs)
DSP/modem experience
System link budget and gain cascade analysis
RF system architecture and proposal experience
Operational analysis tools (AFSIM/STK) and CONOPS development
Proficiency in MATLAB or Python
Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo and design languages (UML, SysML)
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
