Responsibilities

Draft, edit, review, and negotiate complex agreements with minimal supervision, in a manner that manages business and legal risk while effectively supporting our internal and external customers in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment
Provide excellent, time-sensitive, solutions-oriented, strategic contracting support to internal and external stakeholders
Exhibit solid negotiation skills, including comfort in negotiating contract terms with customers
Build and maintain strong relationships with sales, finance, operations, and attorney stakeholders across the decentralized organization (as applicable)
Serve as a contracting and negotiating expert to other areas within the organization, as required
Supervise and set direction for other Contract Specialists (if applicable)
Lead and mentor less-experienced contracting professionals, including provision of subject matter expertise on complex contracting issues
Exercise excellent judgment in identifying and escalating issues to management and/or for legal review in a timely manner
Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of Stryker’s product lines, competitive environment, and customers to better support functional initiatives and provide recommendations to internal stakeholders
Monitor and track status of contract-related matter and proactively provide updates as requested

Required

A Bachelor's Degree is required for this role, however in lieu of a degree, an additional 6 years of work experience will be considered
4+ years of work experience with contracts
4+ years of experience drafting and reviewing documentation
3+ years of experience with direct contract negotiations

Preferred

3+ years of work experience working in healthcare contracts
Paralegal certification strongly preferred
Experience working with the Uniform Commercial Code is strongly preferred
Salesforce experience
