They are seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead the preparation of transportation design plans and provide technical guidance to junior staff in a collaborative team environment.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Leading the preparation of transportation design plans/3D modeling for local agency transportation and/or municipal utility projects
Performing and checking various design calculations
Performing various tasks as they relate to preparing a design package (special provision development, estimates, RID packages, etc.) for milestone submittals to clients
Providing technical expertise/guidance to junior staff
Support MDOT projects, as needed, with similar responsibilities
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar field of study
Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan (or other state with the ability to obtain registration in Michigan upon employment)
8-10 years' experience in the transportation and municipal utility sectors
Preferred
Knowledge of OpenRoads design software
AutoCAD/Civil3D is a plus
