Responsibilities
Lead instream flow assessments using methods such as PHABSIM, IFIM, and habitat simulation models
Analyze hydrologic and ecological data to determine flow needs for aquatic organisms and riparian habitats
Interpret hydraulic modeling results and GIS-based habitat mapping
Collect and interpret field data on streamflow, habitat conditions, and water quality
Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to stakeholders and regulatory agencies
Qualification
Required
MS or PhD in Aquatic Ecology, Hydrology, Environmental Science, or a related field
10 years of field experience in streamflow measurement and habitat surveys
Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States
Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license
Preferred
Experience with statistical analysis and ecological modeling (R, Python preferred)
Familiarity with environmental flow standards and water management regulations
Knowledge of water rights frameworks and instream flow policy
Strong knowledge of streamflow dynamics and aquatic species-habitat relationships
