Agency Human Resource Consultant I (Temporary)
N.C. Department of Information Technology is seeking an Agency Human Resource Consultant I to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation and oversee recruitment initiatives. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders and facilitating recruitment efforts for the Department of Public Safety.

Responsibilities
This position serves as the Department of Public Safety’s Regional Recruiter responsible for facilitating recruitment initiatives targeting areas or facilities with the greatest needs within the department
The top five focuses are analysis, consultation, recruitment events, tracking and reporting
This position will work with DPS management and OSHR Recruitment Division staff to plan and facilitate special recruitment initiatives to target all other positions in DPS as needed
The position will be expected to collaborate and develop working relationships with colleges, universities, professional boards/commissions/associations to facilitate special recruitment initiatives, with a direct report to the designated analyst within HR
This position does involve traveling and a State Vehicle is provided. Work requires visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
Must demonstrate previous experience analyzing, planning and implementing strategic recruitment initiatives
Considerable knowledge and demonstrated ability to interpret and administer policies and State and federal laws related to recruitment and staffing. Must demonstrate where the ability to think analytically and exercise judgment and discretion in the application and development of personnel policies, procedures, and programs was gained
Must demonstrate knowledge and use of recruitment efforts using social media tools for specialized recruitment
Must show how considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and use of applicant tracking systems for monitoring and reporting purposes was used in previous positions
Must show previous use of knowledge where effective methods and strategies were used in the field of recruitment and staffing
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience
Must demonstrate previous experience analyzing, planning and implementing strategic recruitment initiatives
