Responsibilities
Act as the regional point of contact for Operational Risk matters in North America
Facilitate Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) to identify key operational risks, assess control effectiveness, and validate remediation of control gaps
Contribute to governance forums by preparing high-quality reporting materials, ensuring effective oversight and clear identification of operational risk themes and trends
Prepare and present risk reports, dashboards, and metrics to senior management and relevant stakeholders
Identify and analyse operational risk trends using internal data, loss events, and external sources to inform decision-making and proactive remediation
Support the build-out and maintenance of Risk Registers and end-to-end process mapping, providing effective challenge to ensure accuracy and completeness
Manage operational risk events and losses, including root cause analysis, escalation, reporting, and lessons-learned activities
Oversee daily broker error and loss management, including monitoring, reporting, and driving actions to reduce frequency and impact
Qualification
Required
Experience in Operational Risk Management within financial services
Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, RCSAs, risk events, and control assessments
Experience producing senior management and governance-level reporting
Ability to analyse complex risk issues and provide clear, practical recommendations
