Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of decommissioning and asset retirement strategy and execution for offshore assets
Establish and promote a strong safety, environmental, and operational excellence culture across internal teams and contractors
Set annual and long-term decommissioning objectives aligned with company strategy and regulatory requirements
Provide leadership as part of the wells leadership team, partnering closely with drilling, completions, and well work functions
Oversee vendor selection, contract strategy, negotiation, and performance management
Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks governing offshore abandonment and decommissioning
Manage and optimize a $100MM+ annual decommissioning budget
Collaborate with legal, finance, environmental, and regulatory stakeholders to manage risk and liabilities
Serve as a primary interface with regulators, government agencies, and industry bodies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university
10+ years of progressive experience in decommissioning, ARO, or offshore well operations
Strong background in offshore well work and/or structure removal
Demonstrated safety leadership and deep understanding of offshore regulatory requirements
Proven experience leading large, cross-functional teams and external contractors
Track record managing complex, high-value contracts and vendor relationships
Ability to manage multiple concurrent, high-risk projects effectively
Decisive leader with strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment under pressure
High integrity, resilience, and ability to lead through challenging operational and organizational environments
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including offshore locations
