Responsibilities
Provide technical guidance and implementation support for major GASB pronouncements, including GASB 87, 94, 96, 101, 103, and 104
Lead and support all aspects of Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) preparation, including notes, exhibits, and the Letter of Transmittal
Perform technical accounting research, interpret new standards, and deliver clear recommendations for financial reporting and analysis
Prepare and review MD&A and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GASB and GAAP requirements
Serve as a key liaison with internal and external auditors, coordinating audit support, organizing documentation, and resolving findings
Qualification
Required
CPA required with 8+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience
Minimum 2 years at a Senior Manager level, supporting public sector, government, or complex regulatory engagements
4+ years of hands-on ACFR preparation and review, including GAAP and GASB implementations
Strong public sector financial reporting expertise, with demonstrated experience educating and guiding staff
Proven ability to manage audits, perform technical accounting research, and communicate complex guidance clearly
